1st Week Meeting Summary (6th-12th June)
For the first week, we had a meeting with supervisor and have a general idea of the project. After the meeting there was a group meeting to discuss some questions from last part (unit ), and divide the research work according to the processing flow chart, equipment and layout. And we also decide to do some adjustment of the product from last part, such as try to replace the sugar by high fructose syrup and honey, freeze kiwi before make kiwi juice, remove or keep the kiwi seeds.
The second group meeting was about the making of the timetable, sharing and discussion of the background reading and searching, decision of the product unit. And we also made 6 different samples to test the pH, appearance and flavour changes.
We constructed the final processing flow chart for both lab and industry, and decided to use continuous line on the third group meeting. And also checked the pH of each sample from 8th June.
On the fourth meeting, we discussed the equipment and layout base on the calculation of the unit and total quantity, and divided the writing work for each person. The pH of each sample prepared on 8th June was examined. We also discussed the legislation base on the ingredients, especially the stabilizer and the citric acid. And on the weekend, each person checked the details, made adjustment of the processing flow chart, equipment flow chart and layout, and tried to finish the writing of first 3 part.
